Have had this TV a few weeks and can't fault it as a TV or monitor - I am really happy with it's quality.
However, I made the mistake of thinking that the lack of a VGA input (blue headed, 15 pin monitor cable) was not going to be a problem for me. The TV came with an HDMI to DVI-D (single link) cable, but both of my laptops are a few years old and have a VGA output to connect to a monitor, rather than the newer DVI or HDMI connections. I had seen that you can buy VGA to HDMI cables cheaply (around £5), so thought that would be better than spending more for a similar Samsung TV with a VGA connection built in. Only later did I learn that the analog VGA signal cannot be converted to a digital HDMI signal via those cables, so they would not work when trying to simply connect a laptop to this TV via a VGA output.
One of my laptops also has a DisplayPort output connection, so I was able to buy a DisplayPort to HDMI adaptor for £13 which works fine and transmits audio as well as video. For the other laptop with only a VGA output, I ended up having to get a VGA Audio to HDMI Converter which was £32. It does the same job for audio and video, but it would have been a lot cheaper to have just got a slightly more expensive TV with a VGA input.

I looked at a number of Dells (even the ultrasharp series), Acers and LGs before deciding to buy this. Being a little tight on the budget also helped me choose this. But, what a choice ! I am very delighted at the value for money I got. I use this monitor for coding, for watching HD (iPlayer etc.) , a lot of photoshop and to watch TV programmes that suck. It is supreb at doing all of this. I have a Dell 23" Ultrasharp at work and cannot find any difference. And yes, I don't need the technology to look at my monitor from weired angles, I try to sit straight in front of it.
With the money I spent, I got an excellent, sharp, vibrant 27" monitor + TV. Go for it, you won't regret it.

Great screen. light weight, amazing picture quality currently using it with my computer as a monitor.
I like screens with minimum inputs at the back. coz 99% of the time we have like 8 or 9 inputs and we hardly use 2 or 3.
