Smart Crop. An easy way to get the best view. The Samsung ST80 takes cropping in a new direction with Smart Crop. This innovative feature lets you snap photos on an angle and then crop them in camera so that they are level. Simply select four points on the image, whether it is a street sigh, picture frame in a gallery, or a blackboard in a classroom and the Samsung ST80 adjusts the image accordingly.
Smart Filter. Add lens and software effects to your images with Samsung’s Smart Filter. Samsung Smart Filter, lens and colour effects deliver an artistic edge to your subjects. Give them a miniaturized look, or use the Vignetting filter to deliver a strikingly strong contrast effect; and the Fish-Eye filter gives your video or photos a distorted, artistic feel. Colour effects such as sketch and defog can add an expressive layer to your shots.
Smart Face Recognition. Built into the Samsung ST80 is a unique Smart Face Detection feature which allows it to automatically adjust the focus and exposure on the faces that are the most critical to the shot. This innovative face recognition capability actually identifies the faces from a database that the camera creates, based on frequency. Plus, the Auto Face Detection feature allows you to quickly focus on your main subject without the hassle of adjusting your focus manually.
Record High Definition movies in the palm of your hand. The ST80 is like having a compact HD video camera that also takes professional-grade photos. It records HD video in 1280x720p resolution at 30 frames per second. Its H.264 format also allows you to record twice as much as an MP4 and four times more than an MJPEG – the format used in many other digital cameras. With the HDMI connector, you can watch your HD videos with any HDTV or HD monitor.
