Samsung SM933HD 18.5-inch Widescreen LCD TV/Monitor (1360 x 768, 5ms, 1000:1, HDMI, Black)

Good screen for the price,I don't personally use the TV side of it as it's rigged up to my p.c. in a room with NO ariel connection but the facillity is built into the unit for those that need it.
The monitor itself I find to give a good clear picture with plenty of connectabillity options and the menu gives plenty of scope for set up options,[Internet, text etc.] the speakers are tinny as other reviews about the monitor have said but that's not an issue for me as I have a seperate computer speaker system around it.
The monitor can also be tilted this can be handy for the viewing angle adjustment if the sun is on it!
All in all I have given the product 4 out of 5 stars it would have been 5 but for the speakers, but still a good buy.

This product arrived within 2 days of ordering, which I felt was excellent, it was well packed and easy to put together. I ordered the 19inch as I needed the TV to be small as it is for my kitchen. The picture is lovely, it is bright and clear, which is a bonus as my eyesight is not very good. It comes with a largish remote control, again for me good as it is easy to navigate. As you switch the TV off it makes a little bleep, which is handy as you know it is switched off. The only improvement I feel could be made is if it was on a swivel stand, but then most TVs do not have that. All in all, I am extremely pleased with my little TV, it makes cooking a pleasure as it has clear sound, so I can listen without directly watching it. The picture however is of excellent standard, as you would expect from Samsung.

I chose this tv based on the fact that it was designed to be both a tv and a pc monitor, so had the DVI-D input that i needed to plug into a Desktop PC. This tv came with an audio cable and a pc input cable.

TV - The digital receiver is a decent one, found all the channels I usually can find with my aerial, I haven't got anything bad to say about it. The only downside (it's a minor point) is that it doesn't show program info/listings when you change channel, but most Samsung TVs of around this size are the same and it's easy enough to click the guide on to see what's on so it's not too much of an inconvenience. The picture is nice and sharp, and there are options to change the picture modes and settings to whatever it is you need. Sound is of course never going to be as good as CRT and it does get slightly tinnier when you turn the volume up, but again it's not as bad as people think, and there are customization options so you can change it to fit your needs. I would recommend this TV for smaller rooms; otherwise get a separate speaker system for it, because it really is designed for smaller rooms.

PC/Monitor - Does a decent job, it's got PC, 2 HDMI and DVI-D ports at the back so its got the right connections to satisfy whatever you need it for. The second HDMI port is on the side panel with the headphone jack. Picture is a standard 1360x768 resolution that is compatible with most of not all games. Sound is better when using PC, but only if you fiddle about with the onboard pc equalizer.

Note for those wishing to Wall mount (as I have): You will be stumped by the mounting base when you first see this TV as there's no obvious way to take it away. Here's how to get rid of the base: get a friend to gently but firmly hold the tv face down on a soft surface (on top of a towel on a table will do). Take hold of the base and pull, jiggling from side to side slightly. Its held in place by some rubber mounts and two pressure clips.

This is an 18.5inch TV not a 19" but i really don't see a difference. I really don't have a complaint about this TV. It does a great job of providing Digital TV and PC input and the viewing angle is surprisingly wide, very easy to see from different angles especially when mounted on the wall on a swivel and tilt bracket. A really nice TV, sound could be better, but its the same for most LCD TVs of this size.
