Since purchasing the CLP-310N, this is the second purchase of a Rainbow Pack I've made - the last one was even more expensive. This one was just under £100 delivered. Whilst this represents a big saving on buying the separate cartridges, it's still a sting! As an owner of the previous model CLP-300N, I did not realise until too late that this one has completely different cartridges. Many other prospective buyers must have worked this out and gone for another marque, so that there are still too few spent CLP-310 cartridges out there to start a compatibles remanufacturing scene. And until that happens, the price remains sky-high.
They are supplied beautifully packaged in cushioned air-pockets, in separate cartons, in a foam tray-and-collar, in a massive cardboard box, very much the enemy of easy delivery and the environment.
They work just fine (they'd better at that price!). If you've got the printer, your gonna need them and this is the cheapest way of getting them. Software called EcoPrint can help to reduce, but not eliminate, the inherent wastefulness of this printer (all Samsung printers generate waste ink like there's no tomorrow).
But, if you're considering the purchase of a CLP-310, keep looking for something more cost-effective. Almost anything else will do!
