Simply Outstanding,

I bought this TV to replace my 48 inch Series 6 Samsung TV. The first thing I noticed, when it was delivered, was the sheer size of the box; it was the size of a small house! Extracting the TV was simple and it was connected to the home cinema with ease; the connectors are easily located on the left hand side on the rear of the TV. The only criticism I had at this stage was the short power cable. Considering the size of the TV, a longer power cable would seem obvious. To say it dominated our living room would be an understatement. It was simply huge! Simple in design and surprisingly slim for a plasma TV, it fitted in very nicely. The first thing we tried on it was the Avatar Blu Ray. The picture was simply outstanding! It was crisp, detailed, smooth and the depth and field of colour and contrast was breathtakingly beautiful. I have never seen a picture so clear and so smooth. Even SD TV looks smooth. I cannot comment on the sound as it is connected to an AVR with separate speakers. This is truely an amazing TV for the price. If you want to be blown away by the picture quality and stunned during blu rays, then this TV ticks all the boxes. You have to see it to believe it!

I purchased this TV in July to replace a 50" Pioneer Kuro and have been absolutely delighted with it in all aspects. It is a lovely looking TV, about half the thickness of my old Pioneer and weighs about the same, so it's fine for wall mounting.
Although the picture quality is not quite up to the standards set be the Pioneer Kuro, I am amazed at how good it actually is for such a relatively small cost. This really is the most cost effective way to delve into large format 3D viewing and suffice it to say that I have no regrets about my purchase. Considering the 65" Panasonic is £2000 more expensive it's a no brainer to go for the Samsung.

Firstly, I have to tell you that my reason for 4 Stars is because my TV had a few problems, however, I think this was due to a bad batch.
The TV itself is extremely thin, measuring just over 1 inch. It is fully HD and the added 3D is amazing. I can't stress enough how amazing it is, you have to see it to believe it. The most amazing part about the TV is it actually converts 2D movies to 3D, It's not IMAX quality, but it's a bloody good substitute. I have seen 3D movies that don't even compare to 2D to 3D conversion. Whatever you do, don't think that this displays like the old 3D with red and blue glasses, its not the case, this displays full colour using polarized shutter glasses, just like you see at an IMAX theatre. The 3D is amazing and although there is not a lot of 3D blu rays available, you still have the 2D to 3D conversion of normal cable channels, you have Sony playstation titles in 3D, and you also have Sky 3D channel being launched in October. Even if you eliminate the 3D side, you have a very good Plasma TV, and at 63 inches and as thin as an inch, you cant fault it. my problem arose on the 1st day because the shutter glasses were on and off during viewing, the very next day, an engineer from samsung came round and he did a thorough check on the system. He was very informative and promised it would be fixed. Dont let my experience put you off, as i'm sure it's just a one off. I don't regret buying it, and to truly appreciate 3D as it's meant to be, then this telly delivers. The design is sleek, no push buttons, everything is touch sensetive. The remote is very sleek, easy to access, and if you have a 3D blu ray then you only need the one remote. If it wasnt for my problem on the 1st day it would get 5 star
