I use this as a monitor on 1080dp and it is simply fantastic. Great value and great picture.
The speakers are fairly poor, just plug your PC speakers (or active speaker system) into the headphone jack at the back and problem solved.
The only complaints I have are:
The touch interface is a pain in the preverbal..... Not too much of a problem when using the remote, but is fairly tedious.
I run 2 PCs through this monitor (1 DVI and the other VGA) to switch between them you have to select the source menu. The menu only appears for a couple of seconds and disappears, can be a little annoying. You'll not have this problem if running only one PC as it "remembers" the previous input.
Can't comment of the in-built TV tuner as I'll likely never use it. Great, I imagine, if you are using this as an all in one in your bedroom.
I really am being picky to mention the above and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this first rate product to a friend.
The lack of HDMI may be a problem as there is only one.

My primary requirement was for a large monitor to attach to my PC, with a decent screen resolution of 1920x1080, with the additional features of a TV in the future rather than doubling up on multiple screens in my room. My experience to date with the Samsung as a PC Monitor has been really positive. The display is sharp, clear and it looks great in the room. Its got adequate options for multuple input connections (HDMI, Scart, DVI, Component), and you can link your PC soundcard to the screen which cuts down further on the amount of wires and extra speakers. The sound quality is OK, but if you wanted really crisp and clear sound from music or DVDs, you might prefer to stick with your external speakers. I look forward to trying the TV in the next few weeks when I have had an outside aerial fitted. I tried some internal portable aerials, but the freeview signal is just not good enough where I am, hence the reason for an outside unit. All in all, very pleased with the unit.

This monitor was purchased for the display of photographic images at an exhibition. We needed the highest quality of display and this fulfilled the task admirable.
There are a wealth of methods of connection which suit all needs.
The screen has a matte finish which reduces the effect of any glare on the screen.
It incorporates a terrestrial TV receiver, which I have not tested.

Excellent
