5.0 out of 5 stars Fantasic! 26 Dec 2009
I bought this monitor for my bedroom so I could link it up to my PS3. It turned out to be one of my best purchases in a long time. Quality of the picture is brilliant and I doubt you could find a better TV around this price. The 50,000 contrast ratio really stands out and the colours are fantastic. The small speakers obviously are not the powerful for say a big room but despite there smallness the seem to be very clear and fill the room. Having already two Sony Bravias in the kitchen and living room I only wanted a cheap, small tv for the bedroom but I dare say that there are nearly as good or even as good as the Sonys. The TV tuner is also very good and makes this a brilliant all round TV/monitor for anything. You would be a fool not to buy this at this price!

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant 31 Jan 2010
I bought this tv just 4 days ago and I am so impressed with its all round quality. The full 1080p HD is very noticeable, and slightly more justified on a 22" than if it was just a 20". So too is the high contrast ratio. The menu is really easy to navigate and the tv itself will sit and blend into almost any environment due to it's sleek black finish. Admit-idly, I see why some people complain about the speakers as they are slightly tinny, with a lack of base, but this tv is such a bargain compared to others in its class, you could just buy some multi-media speakers. I would defiantly recommend this tv to anyone.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Value Product 19 Dec 2009
I bought this as small bedroom TV and in that role it is fine. Picture quality is good, sound quality not up to Sony standards but acceptable. The EPG is primitive but then this is essentially a PC monitor with a DAB tuner so no surprises there. If this were all you were to use it for then it is a good value product with some limitations.
However having palyed around with it a bit now what this piece of kit is superb at is being a multi device monitor with the added benefit of being a TV.
I acquired another unit for my son whose own PC monitor was fading fast and who needed a good quality display for his X-Box.
What an eye opener! He now has his PC, X-Box and PS2 connected, all made possible because of the array of connections available and they all look fantastic! As I said, the sound as a TV is not quite Sony standard but OK if you're just using as a TV and more than enough to satisfy my son when playing games. He also (now I've set up an aerial for him) now has a really good HD TV. He uses the playstation or X-Box as a DVD player to watch films.
I now feel obliged to run my wife's laptop through our TV as this little gem is a real jack of all trades and yet I only originally bought it as bedroom TV! This is so much more and still great value for money!

5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent TV 19 Jan 2010
Despite seeing numerous adverse comments regarding the sound quality, I find the small speakers fitted to be quite adequate for the job. This TV is a secondary unit used in the bedroom and has quite reasonable sound for the purpose. On my larger Samsung TV I have the Theatre kit which is excellent but it is not necessary on the smaller unit. Picture quality is superb.

5.0 out of 5 stars P2270HD 13 July 2010
By M HALL VINE VOICE
It's so rare to come across a decent 1080p 22" TV/Monitor at this price that I was glad to find the P2270HD at under 200 at Amazon. It looks absolutely stunning (see my product images) and performs exceptionally well as a TV and monitor. I have connected to this my Xbox 360, HDMI DVD Player and V+ Box and all look stunning in 1080 mode. I also have a PC connected via VGA running at 1600 x 900 as I feel the text size is too small when running at full 1080p resolution.

It's extremely easy to set up too, as a handy wizard guides you through the process of initially scanning for, and saving Freeview channels. Once this is done you are free to select which ever input you want - PC (VGA) EXT (Scart, note than the 3 RCA jacks are shown in the picture, this is incorrect as this model has a SCART socket in this position), Composite HD Video, HDMI and DVI. It's worth noting that although this is advertised as a 22" set it's actually 21.5" as indicated by Samsung on the packaging.

Included in the box is the P2270HD itself, wrapped carefully for protection, the remote control, a VGA Cable, a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable, batteries and mains lead, both for UK and European use. No HDMI cables are included. The remote has a nice feel to it and is a comfortable shape. It is logically laid out, with the power button and number keys up top as you would expect. The Source button allows you to quickly flick through the inputs (see customer image again), however I would have like to be able to delete some of these from view as I tend to flick between PC and VGA only, this would cut down on time and make it easier.

The sound quality isn't as bad as I would have expected from reading other reviews.

4.0 out of 5 stars Using TV as monitor 24 Sep 2010
I thought it would write this short review and hopefully it will help some people out when they are after using this TV as a monitor for a mac.

The TV is generally good, I use it as a monitor for my mac and with my xbox and of course a television.

The television and using it with my xbox if good quality and is what you would expect.
But when using it as a monitor for a mac, this is when I came into a bit of trouble.

I connected it via a Apple Mini DVI to HDMI adapter then into the HDMI slot on the television, the quality was poor. At first i thought it was the TV as when i connected it to another television I was getting full 1080p. After a bit of research I heard someone say you have to change the name of the component on the source list. I was sceptical as the solution seemed so basic and there is no logic behind it but I have it ago and it worked perfectly, full 1080p.
To do this: press MENU > INPUT > EDIT NAME > change the HDMI name to PC
