Was in 2 minds whether to get this or not as the warranty information was not mentioned on here in great detail, just that it's in the box. Plus it would have been my first experience with a Samsung TV also. However I thought the price was too good a value to miss out on, (when compared to other online/local retailers, this was at least �150 cheaper!) so finally bought it!

The warranty lasts for 12 months (leaflet provided in the box). Amazon delivery was great as usual, ordered on a Monday evening & arrived the Thursday afternoon using the Super free standard delivery option. You can also keep a track of where the delivery is using the online tracker.
Now, after about 4 days of use, I have to say the image quality is pretty good, excellent when watching in HD on some of the channels - amazingly crisp, sharp detail when using the PS3 also! I LOVE that I can plug in a USB device (my phone, external drive, memeory stick etc) & watch videos, listen to music & view pictures I have on there instead of using a CD all the time! I really like the design of the TV too, it has a nice glass frame on the outside all the way round so does look quite elegant & smooth.

The only issues I'm having at the moment is the controller response speed can be a bit slow & laggy when switching channels & you really do have to point the controller in a specific direction. The sound could be better also in terms of quality - but the volume it can go up to is very high so I guess that makes up for the quality when you have it turned up in the higher range.... Great TV for the money. We nearly bought its predecesor a few months ago and now this replacement model is around �100 cheaper. This is our first big flat screen TV and are very impressed with everything from sound to picture quality and design. We do not play PS/Wii games etc on it, but the picture is great as far as I can tell - and the BBC HD coverage of Wimbledon is fantastic.
If you are looking for a great value, easy to set up TV with integreated HD then this is ideal, don't waste your money on anything else

There were just two reviews on Amazon when we purchased this TV. One was very critical and the other a bit negative and so it was a poor start. On the other hand we regard Samsung as being a quality brand and we have experienced Amazon's famous "no argument" approach to customer complaints.

There was nothing to worry about. We are very pleased with all aspects of this model and have no hesitation in recommending it to others. The HD quality is really superb.

We do have just one critical comment. We were surprised by the degree of physical force that was required to fit the stand and were fearful that we might have caused some damage in the process.

Really happy with this TV. Picture quality is awesome, crystal clear images and vibrant colour. Ive only had the chance to test on 720p HD content so far from Apple TV/iTunes and BBC iPlayer but Im well happy. So impressed Im thinking about buying a blu-ray player now. I cant pick up any Freeview HD channels yet (so cant comment on that) but hopefully that will change after the switchover next month. Great for the price and if youre not bothered about 3D and Internet TV gimmickry, you'll love this TV. Truly amazing value for money. Worth the extra quids for the full HD experience. Sound not great so would be worthwhile getting a decent set of speakers to.

Bought this yesterday, arrived within 24 hours (paid for express delivery and was well within time slot).
Superb TV for the price. I'm not a tech-geek but I know a good TV when I see one!
Picture and sound quality are excellent - great to have HD channels too.
It took me and a helpful 12-year old just 20 minutes to unpack, set up and start watching. Lots of potential for connecting other media too when I get round to it!

A quick fresh-out-of-the-box review:

Great next-day delivery and i was able to get everything setup and working in a matter of minutes. Picture looks great and sound is good.

My only gripe so far is that this television is advertised as being wireless (I was expecting an internal antenna like the Wii). No such luck. When you go to the network configuration options you are informed that you need to have a wireless adaptor Samsung WIS09ABGN WiFi Link Stick. a bit disappointing to say the least.

Having read the reviews before buying and everyone said how great it was, I went ahead and bought it.

It's a bargain at �389.99 for a 40 inch TV. I've always been partial to Sony Bravia through having used them in the past.
But this Samsung is no different, great quality, easy to control and a fraction of the price. There aren't buttons (not even an on/off one) on the actual TV though as everything is managed via the remote control.

I paid for next day delivery as I had to be during a certain time for delivery and got Citylink delivered it by 10am. Great service so am really pleased.
