sound bar,

Item arrived in two days rather than the week to ten days as advised, everythig was well packed. I put the batteries in the remote, plugged the woofer in and the optical link to the Tv, switched on and the linkup was immediate. sound quality was instantly noticeably clearer, all parts operated perfectly. I have absolutely no complaints about recommending this product. If I could I'd give it ten stars

I bought this sound system to complement Samsung UE46D5520 46-inch Widescreen Full HD 1080p 100Hz LED SMART Internet TV with Freeview HD - Charcoal Black and Samsung BD-C5900 3D Blu-ray Player Wifi Ready (Dongle Required).It turned out to be a blessing because the sound of the Samsung TV is not that good and at low volumes it seems to wash in and out. This does not happen with the Airtrack. The set-up was very easy, although we made it more difficult for ourselves by performing the (unnecessary) frequency 'matching' of the subwoofer to the main unit. Upon reading the instructions again we realised that this was only necessary in case of interference. The various settings - drama, cinema, news, music, sports, game - are easily selected and the 3D mode does seem to add more body to the sound, so we always keep it toggled on. The subwoofer really kicks in when it's meant to, so especially if you are watching a movie on BluRay you will notice its presence. The only word of warning I have for potential purchasers is that this unit will NOT allow you to play sound from an iPod; the external iPod wireless transmitter, which is listed in the instructions as 'optional', is impossible to source from anywhere except for one retailer in the US who does not ship to the UK. In the instructions it says "Although it appears on the input mode display, iPod connection is not possible with this model. It is only available with model HT-WDC10 (sold separately)". Well, sold separately is a matter of opinion as you can't buy it anywhere. We tried to plug in an iPod in every possible way but even via the Samsung's Smart TV the only feature of the iPod that you are able to visualise is the Photos folder. Eventually, a friend suggested a way to circumnavigate the problem and suggested I bought Wireless PC to Stereo Audio Transmitter from the UK's main electronics retailer whose name begins with 'M'. Voila, I am now able to play all my music directly from my iMac and benefit from the amazing sound of the Samsung kit (on 'music' setting, of course). All in all, I would say this is a great piece of kit but if there is an option to buy a model which includes some form of iPod/MP3 dock, go for that one if you think you might want to use this feature.

Purchased this sound bar after reading several reviews. I wasn't expecting amazing sound quality however my expectations were raised when I plugged it in. The bass booster really gives the sound a good kick when turned up to full wack! Looses a star because you can't sync the bar with the TV remote meaning the sound level has to be controlled with the remote that comes supplied. Other than that a good investment!
