I'm very pleased with this system. The sound is excellent. I read some reports of people saying the sound was not loud enough but I can assure you that at 1000watts it is very loud with excellent surround effects. I'm pleased with the very small speakers as we didn't want anything too obtrusive in our small lounge. The small size does not reduce the excellent quality of the sound. The only reason I haven't given 5 stars is because I think Samsung are penny pinching by not having the wifi built into the player. I already have another Samsung Blu-Ray player and the Dongle from that one enables me to use the wifi on this latest system. This new system has a port that is specificaly for a different dongle but my existing dongle connects OK through the USB port on the new player.

I decided to right a review as Ive read numerous not so good one on the net!
The first bad point people have brought up is the speaker cable length being to short, I found them more than generous (room size 4mx3m) second bad point that mentioned is the smart hub/apps are slow to run, I have found the fast and smooth, third point of complaints is sound/video losing sync, not the case from my experience!
Firstly set up was a breeze, picture quality is unbelievable! Standard blu rays almost look 3D! And DVDs look HD simply beautiful!
Sound is awesome! Really really clear and crisp, I've found with my previous 5.1 systems to get the full effect you need it on loud with this system you can have the volume low and still hear everything perfectly, on the other end of the scale you can crank it right up and it's still crisp as ever!
I've not played a 3D blu ray as yet only 3D movies via USB which are yet again stunning!
All in all I Highly recommend this system the price is purely a bonus! Get it you won't regret it

I can recommend this system as it gives qood quality for the money spent. Picture quality is really good and the sound on 5.1 is good as well. I think for the money this system is a good choice.

Considerably cheaper than the E5500 version that my flat mate had earlier I bought this system to replace it as many of the specs seemed similar and I wanted a 3D blue ray player. Sound quality is very good and can go loud without distorting that I have noticed which is important to me. A great buy in my books. Haven't tested internet.

Exellent piece of kit for the money. Very simple to set up to use( well almost) and everthing works ok.Suround sound is good and the centre speaker is very crisp and loud in hearing the dialogue, the sub is the weak link in this set up but for the price you really can't complain. What you are actually buying into is a complete smart tv with all the added extras at considerably less than the price of a new Smart television set. My only gripe is all my existing speaker cables are already wired into the walls and concealed, but the supplied speakers with this kit are not the usual pop in cable clips at the back, they come directly wired into the speakers . Had to put small connection boxes to all the twin cables behind the speakers and going into the back of the player (all 16 of the them). Simple to do but a lot of pissing around for absalutly no reason.All in in all for under £200 you cannot go wrong, but if you have existing speaker cables I would steer well clear of this set up.

Item was delivered well before estimated date, set up was quite easy, the only difficulty I had was that I tried a HDMI cable and could not get a signal, I purchased a cable specifically for a Blue ray player and it worked. I've played numerous DVD's and the surround sound is excellent, well worth the cost.

After looking around many stores I checked about 15 different blue ray systems. I did find that a lot of the products available were very similar but the Samsung syatem also seemed to look the best to me. I founf that getting through Amazon I saved around thirty pound. After installing my new cinema system I was over the moon with the sound and picture quality. This is a great buy for value for money, style and quality.

When working, both the sound and audio are great quality with a nice deep but not overbearing bass sound during action sequences.
Unfortunately, over 80% of discs end up becoming unwatchable (whether they be brand new discs or previously watched discs) often freezing, skipping and pixellating to the point of frustration. The majority of discs seem to play fine to just past the 60 minute mark then it goes downhill from there.
From reading other websites, it appears that it is a common problem with several Samsung models. I only wish I had found that out before purchasing this machine
