I have a flat screen TV(samsung) and needed a DVD player,on checking web sites i choose this.DVD HOME SYSTEM.THERE is more to this home system,than it says on the label....1/it as a button so that you can choose between the the following sounds...jazz/pop /church/rock..hall and more...wonderful. 2/u can control the sub/woof level and p.bass from the hand control. 3/remote also can control the TV,codes in booklet. /u can dim the DVD player display.
The radio(FM only) can b in MO/ST.The bass is ..top..u need to try and try ,till u get the level right,all via Ur remote(life so easy..thanks samsung.
NOW FOR THE SOUND.....i have connected this system to my virgin box via a DIGITAL OPTICAL CABLE,One end in v/box other end into the dvd player,and you will have a sound of 400watts(stereo) with bass...wonderful. This system IS SO EASY TO SET UP.From opening up to reading booklet and connecting things..40 mins.
Over all cheap at price for what you get.
GET A ...DIGITAL OPTICAL CABLE.....BETTER SOUND/PICTURES.

Had recently purchased a 42 in Panasonic television, while I was very happy with the quality of the picture I found the sound very poor, the speakers are at the rear of the television, at times you would have the volume up more than three quarters to hear music. from installing my music system Samsung ht d423h dvd 2.1ch home cinema system I have now excellent sound. Very pleased with my new system with both the sound and appearance.

I bought this system in July to compliment my new 37 inch LG LED. I got it for £179 from Amazon then, so a very good deal. The unit feels very well built and the speakers look great. The depth of sound is fantastic and easily loud enough. I don't put the volume above half way ever - it'd be way too loud. Only down side is I was hoping the speakers would extend upwards more than the two inches, so they are quite low - but not too bad and they are much nicer than those tall ugly ones.
Having 3 remote controls (tv, cable and surround) can be annoying but the surround remote is compatible with my LG and will turn the TV on and off also. Another handy thing is that when you turn off the tv - the surround switches off automatically too!
Picture quality is stunning - although I guess that is also down to your TV so its hard to say - but watching animated DVDs (Toy story etc)the picture is incredible. The USB port has been brilliant for me as it plays all my downloaded movies from a flash drive - and so far it's had no problems in reading any of them!
For the price I paid I'm not sure what more I could want to be honest. Excellent system.

I had 4 tall boy speakers with the last system it is just as good sound with the front two speakers.the picture is great and easy to set up. eell done sam
