I had this product in my laptop for around a year when it suddenly failed and corrupted itself. I am actually a qualified IT technician, so i know what i am doing and was suprised at this.
I purchased another which has been fully functional with no problems for around 2 years now and i can't fault it at all.
Before purchasing, make sure that this will function and fit correctly for your intended purpose.

This is a fantastic product. Top marks for the visual and audio reproduction. The video and audio quality are simply superb. Go for it without any hesitation.

Out of the box and into the computer in a few minutes: Once the adapter from the old drive is mounted, fits easily into place and you're off and running (used Windows 7) with software loaded in less than an hour. No problems. Make sure battery is out and then press power button for 20 seconds before removing old and installing new drive. Excellent piece of equipment.

Order received as expected, installed drive in HP laptop Pavilion (required using adapter from old drive) and booted up fine.
