To create a higher zoom rate, we've used additional pixels from the image sensor to the existing optical zoom. The increased number of pixels allows for clearer shots without any blurring, even from long distances. With the capability of producing H.264 format videos, a high quality compression format, the Samsung F50 is capable of recording 1.5 times longer than conventional SD camcorders that capture MPEG2 format videos. Plus, with the same capacity SD card, the F50 series can record longer videos at a higher picture quality than before. (Please note: 6hrs 20mins is the average recording time which is the equivalent to 16GB of memory)
