    Perhaps spoilt by years with my Nokia 1100 I found the Samsung E900
    too temperamental by far - it regularly switched off after very short times spent in mid-SMS thought and would (v often) wipe the whole of the message when I tried to delete/correct the last letter entered. Its theoretical range of capabilities is excellent, but in my case user-friendly it is not.

    I bought this phone mainly on looks, and the fact that the camera is supposed to be fairly good. And on those points it does not dissapoint. It also comes with usefull and easy to use PC software to upload/download and manage music/documents/photos and other such things.
    Unforunately when it comes to the useability and practicality, its not so good.
    The phone is unusually slippery, and scratches VERY easily (crystal cover case would be a wise investment from the start, mine was scratched within a few days of normal use!). But its the texting side that really lets it down, with every aspect of the texting process (including button operation, and function designation/selection) being as long winded and un-fluent as possible. The fact that the phone does not automatically save sent messages is also annoying. It is also far too easy to accidentally hit one of the "touch sensetive" screen buttons by accident and mess up whatever you were doing.
    So in summery, if you take a lot of pictures and style is a priority, this phone may be for you. If you're a text-a-holic and want something fast and easy to use and hard wearing, this phone is definately NOT for you!
