My D600 died after taking a dip in a bucket of water.
The screen just went funny.
So this phone is its replacement.
Most things about this phone are similar or the same to the D600, with a few exceptions.
Firstly the 'Pro' exceptions:
The Bluetooth connection to a device, or particular my car, takes no need to say "yes" each time you need to connect. It just does it!
The camera may be smaller photos, but they are much better quality, and easier to take a photo.
Slimmer.
Gallery viewer.
Now the 'Con' exceptions:
The back is shiny piano black, so slides about when you might have been use to it 'sticking' with the rubberised back.
The slider isn't as easy to operate. It's like sliding card together. The D600 sprung up, where as this has no 'spring'.
The buttons are just as large, but a little too flat for my liking. But am getting use to it.
The softkeys, which are the buttons either side of the control pad. When you first slide it open, they are 'Contacts' and 'O2 Active', or whichever provider you are with - it's the control to their homepage online.
Problem is, it's too easy to click it when sliding. And according to Samsung and O2, there is no way at all to alter that. To me, that is an unforgivable cockup on their part. Not everyone wants that Internet. They want control.
Overall, I give it 4/5, as mostly it's a good phone, and for the downs from the D600, it has it's ups. But the Softkey problem, just knocks it off that top spot.
Maybe 3/5 would be better, as the slider can be annoying, but you do get use to it.
Definitely not a 5 tho.
