This is the worst device I have ever seen. Be careful with it as they are fragile and the Samsung warranty is not worth anything.
1) If you put something hot on this hob, i.e. if you take a tray out of the oven and put it on the hob you can damage it. It is unbelievable but a hot tray put a hole in the surface of my one. (When I asked around at a store which sells them the sales guy commented that they often break, but usually shatter.)
The tray ended up with a tiny bit of glass stuck to the bottom, and the hob has a bit missing (not all the way through). I would have said this was impossible. The hob was cold at the time. Check the manual
Samsung eventually sent someone to look at it, they then want away and thoughtabout it for 48 hrs and declared it is not a warranty item and that it is 'safe to use'.
So if you want a hob that does not like heat, and you want a safe but hole ridden 'flat' surface buy a Samsung.
2) Quality aside it is rather an annoying device. To turn on a hob you have to press the lock button and hold, it turns on , then you need to turn on the device, then you have to turn on the ring you are after. It takes ages and is a real pain and every stage is met with a loud beep.
If you like the interface then fine, but be aware that this it just a pile of poor quality junk. And if you are thinking the warranty will cover anything think again, it is a pain just to get them to look at it and it basically does not cover anything.
