I bought this a while ago and this Blu-ray player is brilliant albeit the 6 films supplied are not everyone's cup of tea. No problems like the other reviewer and the picture quality on a HD TV (mine is also a Samsung) is better than Sky/Virgin HD in my opinion. It also plays standard DVD's with a noticably better picture than a standard DVD player (not HD but upscaled). I cannot fault this for the price and set up is quick and easy. Only down side is you need to buy a LAN adaptor to get online but this for me is not an issue.

I had this bought for my birhday, good price, good reviews.compatable with my samsung tv, what more could you want? how about plug it in and play? I am not technically minded so presumed i would just connect this via hdmi lead and away you go, no such luck no discs will load, i then foolishly contacted samsung technical helpline on a premium rate, after an hour of stupid questions , going over and over the same thing ie was i putting the disc in correctly, was it the right region etc, (they came with the player)they decided i need to download some new firmware ( WHY SHOULD I BE DOING THIS ? ITS BRAND NEW OUT OF THE BOX)the boffins at samsung decided i needed some leads to download this , i duly purchased these , phoned back the thinktank who then decided i needed a usb stick to do the download, i have downloaded this twice to no avail, in desperation i phoned back my old friends again (still premium rate)to ask for the firmware to be sent by disc, an option i found on the website ( but never offered) they gleefully informed me in this technological age they could do this in a ten working day timescale.Quite amazing only ten days how do they do it ?
At no time have they apologized offered any compensation or been remotely apologetic
I am still waiting for the disc but am now considering returning the unit to the shop for a refund
The moral of this story buy another make, from this day on i will.
