I have had this player for three days now, and am very pleased with it so far.
Setting it up was straight forward. Video leads are provided, but not an HDMI cable, so if you want one, you'll need to order it separately.
I was slightly skeptical that blu ray would be significantly different from DVD, as I wear glasses, but I was wrong: blu ray is quite amazing. So far I've seen two films, and the clarity was /very/ impressive.
I only had one hiccup - the first time that I tried to use it, it refused to play any discs at all (I tried two blu ray discs and three DVDs). Having switched it off, I was about to contact Amazon to arrange to send it back, then wondered if it was worth another go. The second time, it was fine, and hasn't misbehaved since.
Having read the manual, I have found that there are three ways to update the firmware: by CD rom, by USB flash drive and by LAN.
One small niggle, the info panel shows the time elapsed, but not the total time for a feature/programme. I'm not sure if that's a blu ray phenomenon, or just a quirk of this particular player.
