Looks fantastic. Very slim.
Discs load quickly and the picture quality is just amazing.
Easy to set up and connects to my router wirelessly without any problem. Checked on line for Firmware update and it confirmed I had the latest version already installed.
The up-scaler to convert standard DVD's to near Blu-ray standard works extremely well (far better than my previous player), although you may find it necessary to adjust the audio settings in the 'Home Menu' if (like me) you are using a separate surround sound system connected via an audio optical cable. I set it to 'Bitstream' but I guess that will depend on the individual DVD.
I also changed the picture display to 'Dynamic' using the 'Tools' menu when viewing my older DVD's. There's a button on the remote that allows this whilst the DVD is playing.
Blu-ray DVD's only need the 'Normal' setting (Tools menu) for really first rate picture quality. With my external surround sound system I have the audio digital output set to 'PCM' (Home Menu).
Most of the other setting are pre-set to 'auto' and for most people you can just open the box and watch your first Blu-ray movie within 5 minutes (10 minutes if you perform the internet connection first!).
Thoroughly pleased with my purchase.

Nice and thin with an aesthetic look about it. I've paired mine with a Samsung PS59D6900 TV which already has Smarthub, so I haven't really used this feature.
I haven't experienced the problems of others. Firstly, loading and unloading DVDs is nice a prompt which is a refreshing change from my previous ones. Menus are logical and well laid out. I've found the HD quality to be excellent and regular format to be just fine. Watched Megamind with the kids in HD 3D and the quality was outstanding.
The remote is fine - fairly standard.
A tip for new owners...It isn't entirely obvious that the front panel is touch screen - but it is. Possibly a easier option than hunting around for the remote to eject a DVD.
Overall, very happy with the purchase and value for money.

Superb, great price
The unit was very easy to set up, took only minutes. It gives a really good up-scaling as well as Blu Ray picture. Great value for the price!

Rubbish - have had two, and neither work!
First one was completely dead, so sent it back, the replacement played DVDs for a few seconds then froze/skipped etc. Read more
