As a writer and publisher of eBooks and blogs, I needed a laptop or tablet I could easily carry and use anywhere for writing and business meetings/presentations. I did a great deal of research online about the various options. Tablets were unable to handle software like MS PowerPoint or Publisher so were only of little use.
On the other hand, most small or lightweight laptops were either:
a) Very expensive
b) Notebooks, and so with limited "multi-tasking" ability.
This little baby though from Samsung is neither of these.
At around £400, a compact 11.6" screen and literally as light as a feather it's the perfect lightweight laptop. Not only functionally, but like a lot of Samsung products it has a beautifully stylish design. Easy and fast to load, the processor (see technical details) has plenty of power for most business and publishing uses. It even plays Football Manager 2012 with ease -which is an obvious bonus.
If there's one gripe, it's just the AC adaptor lead connection into the laptop itself. A 90 degree connection would make it far less likely to be knocked and potentially damage the input. I'm not saying this kind of damage is likely, but the choice of lead-end seems unusual (and almost illogical) for an otherwise perfect piece of kit.
See if you can find another laptop this small and sexy, with as much power and at this kind of price. I know I couldn't.
