Like another reviewer, I thought this was a great idea - we've used it as a handy day bed for our second son when we're away visiting family / friends for the day. It's really easy to assemble / take apart, and does fold up beautifully neatly into the carry case.
However, the so-called deluxe mattress that comes with it really doesn't fit that well, leaving a gap of about an inch along the sides, which increases to a couple of inches at both ends. It doesn't matter too much now while he's still small, but I can see it becoming a major nuisance as he gets bigger and more coordinated, as he will no doubt be sticking his hands in the gap a lot. I would be tempted to try and get a better-fitting mattress if a) I hadn't just spent over the odds to get what I thought was a complete solution; b) I thought someone out there actually made a mattress that fitted properly.
I'm unclear whether the mattress supplied in this set is also made by Samsonite or by a 3rd party, so don't really know what I can do about it, so we'll probably just make do.

I bought this cot even though there have been reviews saying that the mattress did not fit as I thought that I could make do and the overall concept is a good one. However, the mattress really is quite a bit smaller than the cot which is just sloppy design. The sides of the cot offer no support at all and I feel that my baby would actually roll straight out of the cot were he to roll over into either side of the cot. We only wanted it for use in the UK but it's worth mentioning that the mosquito net is null and void for overseas travel as there are huge gaps at the back of the canopy when the mosquito net fixed on....it secures the front but obviously any gap does not offer protection against a mosquito. The picture shows the the canopy attaches to the top and the bottom of the cot but in reality it only attaches to the bottom, the canopy is flimpsy as a result and overall the whole is really not designed very well at all and not worth the money spent. We are sending ours back.

I loved this idea and have used it many times. However, the deluxe mattress that it comes with does not fit. It is too small for the travel cot, hence there are large gaps around the inside which I feel is a hazard.
