I love this book! It's very user friendly, easy to understand and grasp the basic elements of Dreamweaver CS5.
I strongly reccommend it as a reference book.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Dreamweaver Challenge 6 Feb 2012
Format:Paperback
The book is very well laid out and some things can be picked up quickly, but I did get confused a little with some of the explanations and found a typo in the book, as some words where missing.

All in all a good buy, I'd recommend it (I'm up to hour six so far).

3.0 out of 5 stars You will need a lot more than this book to learn Dreamweaver 12 Feb 2011
By R. Young - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I have read a couple of the books in the "Learn (This) in 24 Hours," series and I like the concept. One will never learn any of the programs featured in 24 hours, but the I like the 1 hour lesson format. This book, however, was a disappointment, and I think the reason is Dreamweaver is just too big of a program to cover in so few pages. If a person is a beginner, this book will prepare them to start learning the program from other sources. But it will take a lot more than this book to learn Dreamweaver. And then of course one must learn basic CSS to really use Dreamweaver well.

1.0 out of 5 stars This book is not better than reading from Adobe Help 13 Feb 2012
By Mark - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
I have bought this book to help me to get through some courses i have taken in the school. It is not better than help from Adobe. The author has written all the book without even a single example for each lesson/hr. It looks like the author writing story book. At the end of each chapter the author asks the student/reader to do this and that in several lines while it is not being shown how to apply the descriptions inside each chapter. It is really annoying and waste of people money and time to write such books. Relatively speaking I recommend CS5 digital classroom, which has files to show the student how to practice each application step by step.
If I had given the option, i would have given zero or negative to Dreamweaver CS5 in 24 hrs book

5.0 out of 5 stars I love this book! 27 Feb 2011
By Beth Niebuhr - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
I read this book after upgrading to Dreamweaver CS5. My intention was to learn what changes had been made in the new version. It was great for that but also for much more. The author has a wonderfully clear way of describing how Dreamweaver works and how to use it efficiently. I added greatly to the knowledge that I had acquired by using an online tutorial course. This book is structured so well that it makes learning easy.
5.0 out of 5 stars Just what i needed 2 Dec 2012

Just what i needed to fill in the gap. I had bought CS6 but the book for that was not available. So till it came, this one filled the gap admirably.
4.0 out of 5 stars Good but complex 16 Oct 2011
By Paul R. Maddock - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
The book covers all the bases well, but could stand for more concrete examples. Dreamweaver has a lot of bells and whistles, and navigating through them can be difficult.
I found myself going to the Dreamweaver help a lot trying to get through the book and its excercises
