I bought this book to give me some ideas when making up my own sampler designs. The examples in the book are so good that I have given up designing my own and am doing ones out of the book instead. This is not quite what I intended to do but with the longer summer days I would rather be sitting outside stitching while the world goes by, than beavering away inside with pencil and paper or on the computer.
If you are looking for a dictionary of basic design shapes this is not the book for you. If you want some different ideas then this will give you them.
