Tomcat says:
Or did they change anything? There are two main points of interest:

1. Picture Format
In former editions, UK seasons 2 & 3 were 4:3 and 16:9 Letterbox; the US edition has them in 16:9 anamorphic.

2. Commentary
The US edition has a director/author/actor commentary for about 20 episodes across seasons 1-6.

Could anyone who owns this new UK edition please check?

Many thanks!

I can now answer the question myself. This new box contains exactly the same DVDs as all previous UK editions.

The West Wing - Complete Season 1-7 (New Slimline Box Set) [DVD]

I am a little puzzled about the answer of Tomcat. I want to receive the UK edition (region 2). Why does Tomcat mention the picture format for US edition, and 'compares' this with former UK seasons ?? Can anybody inform me about the "today" picture format of the UK version?
