this book is very boring from a students point of view. the pages are monotonous in colour and it's way too bulky. however if your doing the chemistry salters B course the you have no option as it is a requirement for the course.
besides it's negative physical appearance and ridiculous amount of detail, it will get you an A if you know how to use it and support it with lots of past paper questions. the questions at the end of each chapter are very good in providing practice to make sure you understand the material.
i would also recommend getting the revision guides depending on what year you are in - for AS: Revise AS Chemistry for Salters, New edition
for A2:Revise A2 Chemistry for Salters (OCR A Level Chemistry B)
these condense all the information down to a really good level which i would definitely recommend :)
