Salter StowAWeigh 9147 BK3R Body Analyser Bathroom Scale

I've never left a product review on Amazon before but I felt compelled to do so for these scales as I remembered there being a few 1 star ratings and I feel this is completely unfair.

Bear in mind I've literally only just received and tested these scales, so I have no idea as to their longevity, but the quality of their build does seem really high so I'm sure they'll last me a long time.

The 1 star ratings seem based on the opinion that these scales are difficult to program, but I must say: this simply isn't the case. I had the whole thing set up in about two minutes and had my weight, BMI, bodyfat percentage, body water percentage and muscle mass percentage. You merely turn the scales on with a quick tap, press set, choose a profile, and then modify the data (such as age, height etc.) as it appears. You do have to keep up some momentum with the input to stop the scales from reverting to 0, and this might mean going through the steps a couple of times until you know what's what, but it really isn't a laborious task, and I know that when I come to enter my girlfriend's data for her, I'll get it first time.

What is also good about these scales is that it tells you what each reading is as you receive them. I've read some reviews of other products saying that they just feed the user a series of numbers, but these are perfectly readable, and the manual provides simple charts to interpret the output.

Further, the scale can be set to kilograms, stones and lbs, or just lbs, while I've read that others don't output in stones, which would be a bit of a pain.

These scales look and feel really high quality too; they're really a very attractive product. Finally, the holder that allows them to be stored upright is a really cool feature, as it saves space and prevents all sorts of damage and spills, I would imagine.

As long as the scales last me, I would say that this is pretty much a perfect product for what it is, and for the price.

I have just purchased this scale and it is very easy to set up and use. However, can anyone let me know how to retrieve the stored data as surely you cannot remember what all the readings are as they flash on the screen. Thanks for any help anyone can give. The instruction book does not seem to cover this.

I'm quite fussy with scales as I've had so many that don't work all that well - namely that they give a different reading when you get on and off in the space of seconds. However I got these scales today and I'm very happy with them.

The first thing to note is that they are VERY compact which some people might find annoying if you've got particularly big feet but for me (Size 6) they're perfect and even my boyfriend (Size 11) was fine weighing on them. Another bonus is that they do 'stowaway' very easily and it was easy to fit the stand to the scales which allows them to stand upright in your bathroom.

A lot of people have commented that they are difficult to set-up but I found it really clear and simply as I read the instructions twice before even starting and then followed them as I went.

The scales gave very accurate readings (even with a quickly followed second weigh!) so I'm chuffed. They're easy to use (if you persist and read the instructions - don't give up) and look rather posh in my bathroom!
