I bought this grill to replace the second George Foreman we went through. It is an excellent grill indeed. It has a digital temp. display which you can adjust to a precise temp setting. The griddles are deeper compared to the GP and leave nice marks on cooked food.
The main advantage is, it heats up to a much higher temp than the GP, hence food is cooked to a better standard. There is a tepm shot button that provides max temp for cooking steaks etc. I can finally get my burgers cooked just right- slightly charred on the outside and still pink and moist in the inside. The lid adjusts to the variable size and height of the food cooked which means that it's all cooked evenly. The grill fits 4 big burgers comfortably.
The only downside is that the drainage of any fat/ liquids in not quite right and often those get 'stuck' at the very front drain of the grill. But nothing that would compromise on the overall quality of cooking. I love how versatile grills of this kind are- we use them for anything from toasted sandwiches, to cooking burgers, sausages, kebabs, steaks, grilled cheese. So far I think the non-stick coating of the Salter grill appear to be of a much better quality than the GF ones.
