I have owned this model for many years and it has been fine for measuring out portions of rice/pasta/cereals etc.
If you want a bigger scale get one but I have found this to be both handy and good value.

I have a tiny kitchen with limited storage space. I love my salter diet scales. I knew it was small and measures small amounts of ingredients before I purchased it. It suits me and my lifestyle. A great product.

As stated in the product information, this is designed for weighing out small quantities. I find it an extremely useful adjunct to my larger kitchen scales which are not so accurate with small quantities.

does exectly what is says on the box
