I have Just received my Salitair Rock Salt Inhaler today, and I have to say that on first impressions it seams to be quite effective at easing my Asthma, it is not designed as a replacement for pescribed medicines but as a suplement!
The unit itself is sturdily made and fairly simple in design, there are two filters, there is a big air intake on the base of the unit then you fill the body with rock salt, the instuctions state that you should use about one third of a bottle of salt per refil, the kit contains one bottle of rock salt.
Once filled with salt a Second smaller filter locks into place on top to which you attach the neck and mouth piece.
very easy to assemble and very easy to use.
In the instruction book it recommends that you use the device for 15 -25 mins a day, you breath normally through your mouth but expel air through your nose, this allows a complete circuit of your respiratory system.
First impressions are good as after 1o mins of use I could feel some benefit, had a slightly runny nose and there is the slightest after taste of salt (barely noticeable) but more importantly my lungs felt stonger and my lungs feel less restrictive. hopefully the results will improve further given daily use.

I bought this product for my husband who suffers from M.S.and C.O.P.D. He regularly uses a nebuliser and an inhaler but we thought it would be worth while giving the Salitair Inhaler a try. It certainly seems to be having a beneficial effect and he's been using it for only a couple of weeks.
He would recommend the product to anyone who has breathing problems.

Trying to shift a really bad infection lasting over two months this last winter I acquired this product. Unfortunately I only did this when I was nearly better.
So far, no adverse effects; no dramatic improvements since I was already getting better when I bought it. So I will have to wait to see what happens over the long term.
I am still using it and I seem to be breathing better and I suspect it needs time.

Salt Pipes
I have C O P D and was recomended salt pipes by a nurse. They do help with breathing slightly. But make me thirsty.

Cheaper than the salt mine!
