Book Description

No one goes up against the Norse god of mischief. It just isn't done.

Well, not before now.

Someone has started the game and Loki can't resist playing.

There's just one (or two) little problems. Loki's brother, Thor, has come for a visit. How is Loki supposed to do his assigned missions with Thor and his hammer causing so much destruction? Not to mention the news Thor brings for Loki.

It's enough to make a god want to run into a telephone pole, which Loki will make happen if he gets a chance.

The game takes a dangerous turn when Loki is sent into a daycare to stop a transdimensional being. Loki is truly pushed over the edge when the life of a child of Midgard is put into jeopardy. It's enough to make Loki consider breaking his parole.

4.0 out of 5 stars loki book review 7 July 2013
By jericho11 - Published on
I love the plot but wish the back story was explained a little more. I grasp the general idea of the plot but you don't really have a clear explanation of what things are and what things do because the author draws on mythology. because of this I think you need to have a basic knowledge of nores lore (like who people are)to follow along and get some of the jokes. (like how himdall is the operator) lol. all n' all I wish it was longer. I love how she portrays loki and wish she wrote more in each book. finally, I don't like the avengers and tom hiddleston references in the second book. she calls on them as pop culture references and its acceptable in terms of story line, but still, I wish the author had kept each telling separate; because it makes the story comes off as fanfic.

any who, to reiterate: it is an interesting story, loki is spot on but the books need to be longer, more defined in terms of plot, and the telling does not need to be clouded by movie references. i give it four out of five stars and I will be picking up the third book when it comes out.

5.0 out of 5 stars For Sale, Call Loki 11 April 2014

Once again, Dawn Blair has given us an ever increasing mystery concerning who is trying to outwit and hurt Loki.

I love her ability to weave you into the story so well you can't help but root for and want to help Loki. I love how she includes other characters that are usually only thought of as being part of mythology.

So very happy she is continuing the story ... hope she keeps it going for a long time.
3.0 out of 5 stars Good, but getting a little too much like fanfiction 31 Mar. 2014

I enjoyed this one, but not quite as much as the first. She kinda lost me with the movie references. Good start, but don't go all fanfiction on us, please.
3.0 out of 5 stars Okay but not great 25 Mar. 2014

These are short, fun reads you can finish on your lunch break. Each one covers one 'adventure' - one transdimensional being sent back. However, now Loki is on the run and trying to find out who's after him. These stories are relatively fast-paced and easy to read but I still haven't gotten a really good feel for his personality like I do with the I Bring the Fire series.
