I've played every Saints Row and have pretty much loved every one; story has always been engaging and genuinely funny. This is the same for Saints Row IV. The introduction of super powers adds a whole new dimension to the game, providing lots opportunities to cause havoc to Zin that have enslaved this virtual world. Its a great game, wouldn't call it game of the year, but I do have some gripes. For one its ridiculously easy, especially when you fully upgrade your character, which happens sooner than you would expect. I would recommend playing on hardcore difficulty, it can prove challenging early on in the game, but when you eventually upgrade the enemies still provide enough of a challenge to keep the game interesting. My other is that the game world and mechanics are the exact same as Saints Row the Third. The ability to upgrade and customise cars becomes redundant the second you are able to run faster than any car in the game, and phoning homies to assist you is pretty useless as your character is able to with every enemy effectively on their own. Its more than just a DLC though, i put over 40 hours into the game, and must say I enjoyed pretty much every second. It adds a new dimension to the open world genre, and it makes you wonder where the hell are they going to go next!?
