Format:Audio CD
Never heard any Saint-Saens piano pieces before so this has been a real discovery for me.
I bought this CD because I love the Stephen Hough renditions of Rachmaninov concertos. I was not disappointed. Hough playing is masterful as always and the City of Prague conducted by Sakari Oramo are in top form.
This is high level music performed by high level performers.
I only regret not buying the complete works instead of this taster.

Hough is amazing!!! This is faster inmost places than I've ever heard this piece, but it feels very natural. Technique is a non-issue for this guy! Enjoy! DAC
