5.0 out of 5 stars If only we could stay like this.... forever 17 July 2002
By TOW
Format:Paperback
This graphic novel is compelling romantic and extremely beautiful, the artwork by the wonderful Naoko Takeuchi is stunning and the plot though fast pased is near-perfect I only have three grips with the whole sailormoon series, the translation at times is shoddy with misspellings and grammar errors, the villians often lack depth but that is Naoko's only real failing, and the fact that sailormoon has ended is a major dissapointment to me but besides that I love it!
Anyone watching the DiC version on Fox Kids (UK) or Cartoon Network (USA) should REALLY get this but it is SO much better than the DiC version of the anime..

5.0 out of 5 stars Manga is much more detailed than Anime 19 Feb 1999
By A Customer
Format:Paperback
I have read this book as well as translated pieces of much of the Japanese manga. I love it, and though I was weary of this, Mixx did stay fairly close to the original in translating. The manga is much more detailed than the anime when describing relationships (Usagi/Bunny and Mamoru/Darien, and later Michiru (Neptune)and Haruka (Uranus). I have a suggestion though, which I will try to bring to the attention of Mixx. I'm not very familiar with their manga, but do they have SailormoonS and up done? I think it would be a good idea (if they do have it done)that they market that for the dedicated DiC fans that can't see the awesomest characters that appear in the later series. Well, that's it, ja ne minna!

The Sailor Moon Series is FANTASTIC. Beautiful pictures in the comic, amazing story line. I loved every minute of it! The only trouble is that its not as famous in England as it is in America!

3.0 out of 5 stars Too girly, but still a very good book. 5 April 1999
By A Customer
Format:Paperback
This is MUCH better than the anime. It has beautiful artwork, and an interesting plot. The only problem is that the plot doesn't totally flow, and is way too girly and unrealistic for my tastes. I would rate it 5 stars, but I've read much better manga. (Such as Neon Genesis Evangelion). Still, if you like the anime I STRONGLY urge to read this to see the way it was originally intended. When I say it is unrealistic, I mean that the characters are unrealistic. That is just my opinion.

4.0 out of 5 stars This volume of Takeuchi's manga is great!! 12 Jan 1999
By A Customer
Format:Paperback
This is one of the best volumes Takeuchi Naoko ever wrote! Looking at the anime, then at the manga, a lot can be said. First, in Acts 6-10, or so, Sailor V "makes the scene", and Tuxedo Mask learns his "crystal clear destiny" ^_-. You learn the true love Prince Endymion/Darien and Princess Serenity/Bunny share for each other. A must read!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Manga is so great! 4 May 1999
By A Customer
Format:Paperback
I really love that the manga of Sailor Moon is being published in the U.S. It's so much more romantic than the anime. I was hesitant at first because the books cost so much, but now I don't mind becuase they're really worth the money. If you like Sailor Moon, you really have to read these!
