5.0 out of 5 stars A great read for any Sailor Moon fans :) 13 Dec 2012
By Niamh
Format:Paperback
So to start it off,Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Volume 6 is that bit bigger than most regular manga you'll find in most places. Though I didn't buy it at Amazon and had a different price on it, the curent price of this manga is quite fair and you do get your moneys worth. Its cover is nice and glossy and has Sailor Chibi-Moon with a pink background, as seen in the Customer Images.
I won't spoil this for any new readers, but this volume, the infinity arc, introduces a new enemey and other new characters. If you're familiar with the Sailor Moon anime, expect this volume to be a bit different from it.
The plot flows smoothly for the most part and I really enjoyed it. The use of Japanese honorifics may be offputting for some, but I didn't mind them.
So in conclusion it's a fairly good manga, which I'd recommend to anyone's who's willing to try a read :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Sailor Moon vol. 6 The Outer Guardians and Witches 5 appear!! 10 July 2012
By Kohinata99 - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
I've waited for this volume to arrive because it starts the Infinity Arc where Sailors Uranus, Neptune and Saturn appear (along with the return of Pluto). This manga comes with the first four chapters, Premonition, Ripples, Two new guardians and Sailor Uranus, Sailor Neptune (Haruka Ten^o, Michiru Kai^o) along with a beautiful colored picture of all 10 senshi and one featuring Chibi-Usa, Tuxedo Mask, the inners and Pluto. There are translation notes in the back along with a preview of volume 7 in the back just like the previous five volumes. Its sad that the USA printing of the manga doesn't include the side comics and notes from Takeuchi-san as the original Japanese ones did, but I'm sure we can live without them.

The translation seems well in comparison to the Tokyopop print as usual. I didn't see any attack name mistakes, mispellings (as far as I can see, correct me if I'm wrong) and the names of the Witches 5 are exactly like the ones from Tokyopop: Eudial, Mimete, Viluy, Tellu and Cyprine (hopefully Ptilol's name won't be spelled "Petite Roll" either...lol) And Kaorinite is spelled "Kaolinte". None of the pages seem to be scrambled and none of the ink seems to be messy like with issues of volume 5. Other than that, there's not much else to say about this manga, other than its the start of the best story arc from the anime.

Also, if you all haven't heard the news released last Friday, Sailor Moon is going to be made into a new anime by the summer of 2013! If you google it, you'll find out more information, but that news alone is enough for us moonie fans to go crazy!! Since its Sailor Moon's 20th anniversary, it was said they'd also make it a worldwide release, so us USA fans won't be disappointed. The end.

5.0 out of 5 stars The translations keep getting better and better... 15 July 2012
By lure101 - Published on Amazon.com

Kodansha got off to a rough start in the first couple of volumes of this new and updated translation. There were so many weird translations and sentence fragments in the first two volumes alone that it was very difficult to read, and get into, at times, but each new volume has been getting better and better. I have to say that this is the best volume so far. I found very few issues with the translations. I got the feeling that Kodansha was translating everything a bit too literally (and hey, as they say in their translation notes, translating Japanese is more Art than Science), but it seems like the character's speeches are less stilted and more natural.

As for the Infinity arc? What can I say? It's the best arc in the manga (although my personal favorite has yet to come). One thing I can say about these new editions is that I think they are better looking than the Japanese ones. The books are a bit bigger and the glossy covers really make the art stand out. There are more of Takeuchi-sensei's beautiful illustrations in the first couple of pages as well, such as a gorgeous picture of all of the senshi, and another really nice one of the Inners, Pluto, Chibiusa, Tuxedo Kamen and the cats. It's just a shame that they've been leaving out the little comics at the back of the editions, but oh well, there are places online where you can read those.

I've been fortunate to have not gotten any copies that that have been smudged or have had pages missing (but then again I've been buying my copies from the local bookstore, so that may be why). This copy is no different.
