What I thought I was getting was a survey of sailing ships over their history. What I got was an excellent presentation of specific vessels as studies or reproductions. A beautiful book which I am pleased to possess and I dip into regularly, it still doesn't answer my questions about sailing ships. Was there something I misinterpreted in the pre-purchase information ? Perhaps, because my interpretation led me to expect something different. I don't regret the purchase but I need to keep on looking for what I really want.
