Perhaps their most underrated/least respected album, 'Said and Done' is arguably Boyzone's best work. From a personal point of view, it brings back many memories so I am bound to like it, however it will appeal to any Boyzone fans and additionally anyone who wants a mix of classic love songs such as 'love me for a reason' to the more poignant songs such as 'When all is said and done', which is a tear-jearker and a beauty of a song. All the tracks are a delight to listen to, in particular my personal favourite 'I'll be there'. Buy it.

I have been a Boyzone fan since the beginning, but have always had trouble getting hold of their first album. I wasn't disappointed, but it was very cheesy in comparison to the more mature sound that they had from A Different Beat Onwards. :0)

Boyzone's debut album has more variety musically than their later albums, and is one of my favourites. There are more uptempo tracks on "Said and done" and more cover versions. It was obvious from the start that the star of the group was Ronan Keating, his voice is very distinctive with his Irish accent shining through more on this album.
The album opens with uptempo track "Together" and then leads into the last single to be taken from the album "Coming home now". "Coming home now" is a beautiful song and features most of the band members on vocals. The only downside is the voice over by Keith Duffy in the middle, it really slows the song down. Next is "Love me for a reason" Boyzone debut UK single and cover version of the Osmonds classic, the song sounds dated now and has never been one of my favourites but this is the only track on this album that I dislike.
Ronan Keating's voice shines on "Arms of Mary", "I'll be there" and "Believe in me". The album ends on a high with "Father and son" one of Boyzone's best singles.
