Review

Clever, beautiful, thoughtful, vibrant and artistic, this delightful book is a colourful guide debunking common breastfeeding myths. --The Mother

Product Description

Do bottle fed babies sleep better and feed longer than breastfed babies? Are modern formula milks as good as breastmilk? Are breastfed babies woozies that want picking up all the time? And is it really easier and more convenient to bottle-feed? Many women thinking about breastfeeding their babies are put off by rumours and myths. In their award-winning, beautifully illustrated book infant feeding specialist Val Finigan and embroidery artist Lou Gardiner's tackle commonly held beliefs about breastfeeding with wisdom, warmth and wit.

A perfect book for new mothers (and fathers...grandmothers,grandfathers,daughters,sons...)with colourful, fun to read text, giving accurate information about breastfeeding in a highly humorous and delightful way.Pick this book up and open on any page to enjoy the words of wisdom put across simply and cleverly through beautifully embroidered illustrations. This book has a fun and original style which makes people want to pick it up and browse through it,great to leave lying around to 'educate' those who may still believe in those old 'breastfeeding myths'! Lovely confidence building, affirmative book and an ideal present for a new mother.

An absolutely fantastic artist has illustrated this wonderful book.
It's worth buying it just to look at the pictures :) (which are incidentally, really really funny)

I was lucky enough to win a copy of this book from the publisher and I'm so glad I did. Whenever I have guests who are a little anti-breastfeeding, I leave it on the coffee table and go and make a cup of tea. They're drawn in by the cartoons and humour, and always end up talking to me about my positive experiences of breastfeeding. It's an ice-breaker really, great for getting discussions started and hopefully changing people's minds if they have have negative views on feeding a baby yourself.

not too helpful
I am a bit dissapointed with this book. It is expensive for what it is. It's too thin only has like 5pages and the information on it fairly common. I don't believe it anyway. Read more
