User Friendly EPG
Our innovative and easy to use EPG makes selecting your chosen channel easy. Just press the guide button on the remote control and use the controls to scroll up and down the channels to your desired programme. The programme guide will show you what is showing over the next eight days and from that you can set up your recordings as well.
Series Link
If the programme you love is part of a series you can simply select to record the whole series at a touch of a button. It will prompt you when you press record whether you want to just record that episode or the whole series; simple.
High Definition - How it works
Just because you have an HD Ready TV, it does not mean that you are watching in HD. By adding a freesat HD digital box to your HD ready TV, you will be able to enjoy crystal clear images with no costly monthly payments.

Sagem DTR94500S 500GB HD Satellite Digital TV Recorder with Freesat+ HD seemed like a great buy when I first got it but 12 months on, all I can say is that this box is absolute rubbish. I initially gave the box 4 stars but have been so incensed with its lack of reliability after a relatively short period of time, that I decided to come back and downgrade that rating to the lowest possible.
The Problems
1.Screen goes blank whilst watching and the only way to recover it is to change channel and then reselect the original channel.
2. When using the TV guide the whole thing locks up and the only way to recover it is to unplug the box and plug back in again.
3. Remote control is unresponsive, you never know if the selection has worked because it takes so long to respond. You can wait 2 or 3 seconds for a response to something which should be instant.
4. Select programs to record overnight or in the morning, for example World Cup Rugby, everything looks fine but when you go in the menu to watch it, not there. No recording, this happens on a very regular basis.
5. The favorites option lists the channels and not what programs are on. Hence if I am viewing a favorites list or all channels, it is not much use other than when you already know what is on and just want to change channels. - Actually just tried the method suggested by Sagem, i.e. press the information button and select favourites using the blue button, then you scroll up and down using the navigation buttons, that does solve this particular problem as long as you have a favourites list to view.
6. Compared to Sky, you can press the navigation button to go right and see what program is on, once showing you can keep going through the upcoming programs and go up and down to see what is on other channels. I really like that feature but you can't do that with this set.
It worked fine when I first got it, but after around 12 months and too late for a warranty claim, it has become practically unusable.
My recommendation is don't touch it with a bargepole, even if it works when you first get it, it won't be long before you are ruing the day you went anywhere near it.

Absolute rubbish, serial record works for a couple of weeks and then stops working, (I only find out when it fails to record something and I have to unplug and reset the unit) likewise the live record and the screen continually goes blank until I change channel and back again, then all is well until the next time. item replaced, BUT replacement just as rubbish as the original, different faults though, screen goes blank, sound cuts in and out, movement on screen judders.

I am very pleased with my sagem freesat.
It does what I want and I have no trouble in understanding what to do, infact it really is simple.
The only negative is that when the machine is off there is a constant noise which can be very irritating when I
don't have any other sound going on.
