Never miss a thing

Our Sagem freeview+ DTR67500T recorder gives you access to over 50 TV and 24 radio channels, giving you more choice, and if you have a HD Ready TV you can upscale your picture to 1080i giving you clearer, sharper images. The 500GB hard disk drive means that you never have to miss your favourite programme again, just set up your recording from the TV guide by pressing the record button, you can even record a series at the touch of a button. With the Twin Tuner you can watch one digital channel while recording another, or record two channels simultaneously whilst watching a previous recording.

You can also pause and rewind live TV!

USB export

The USB port enables you to export your recorded content to an external hard drive, freeing up your hard drive to record even more great content. You can even display your photos and play your music files by plugging in your USB key.

Personalising Folders

So you’re starting to build a library of content, you can now start organising it into personal folders for example Mum’s folder, Dad’s folder or categorise them into genre like Movies, Children’s or Entertainment. This is so much better than just having a long list of recorded content in alphabetical order.

Series Link

If the programme you love is part of a series you can simply select to record the whole series at a touch of a button. It will prompt you when you press record whether you want to just record that episode or the whole series; simple.

500GB hard disk drive

What does it mean for you? Basically if there is something you would like to record and watch at a later date then you can, by pressing the record button or setting it up to record if it is on at a later time or date. The 500GB hard disk drive gives you up to 250 hours of recording time.

Picture In Picture

Another great feature of our Sagem Freeview+ recorder is Picture in Picture; watch one programme displayed on your TV screen in full and at the same time have another program displayed in an inset window, great for when you want to watch the end of your favourite programme and are waiting for another to start on a different channel.

User Friendly EPG

Our innovative and easy to use EPG makes selecting your chosen channel easy. Just press the guide button on the remote control and use the controls to scroll up and down the channels to your desired programme. The programme guide will show you what is showing over the next eight days and from here you can select to record any of these programmes.

HDMI™ upscaling

Want great picture quality? By connecting your Sagem freeview+ to an HD Ready TV via an HDMI cable you can upscale your picture to 1080i giving you brighter, clearer picture quality.

So far so good 9 Nov 2010
By Bimbles
After getting rid of my Sky+ box in an effort to save money, I was anxious that nothing would come anywhere near it. Well, my fears have, to some degree been allayed as I have had no problem with this digital recorder. It does exactly what it says on the box and so far I have had no problems with it. Yes, it is slower to start up than my other box, yes I have had some issues with series link, but all in all it has been really good. I would recommend it to anyone.

I really think this freeview box deserves more credit than its been given,, ive had my very first one for around four years now and from the day i got it i knew i couldnt do without it,

The fact that it has a twin tuner (and some much more expensive ones dont) was a massive bonus,, twinned with the freview tuner on my tv i could record two channels and watch the third on my tv,, you can also watch one on the box while recording another at the same time,, it has PIP (picture in picture) so if you are watching a movie and dont want to miss any of it you can pop up a small box in the corner of the screen and glance at whats on other channels..

this perticular model has a massive 500 gigabyte HDD memory but if you do find you are filling it up but dont want to delete certain video's!! no problem, just export them via the usb and add them again at a later date,, although your pc wont play the files it can still burn them to a disc or store them for back-up and they will be at your convenience.

It can also show and edit pictures, ie of your holiday, birthday or night out, play mp3 music files through the usb aswell.

Great product and well wort the money...

The features on this product are pretty excellent.

It does all it's supposed to with ease, and no comlicated set-up (phew!).

Pausing, rewinding, fast forwarding and playing live TV is great and so easy that my 6 year old daughter can do it. Pausing live TV is the key benefit we're getting from a PVR - with no hysterics from said child who now realises that she doesn't need to miss something in order to answer a questin or set the table for lunch, etc.

Series link and whatever the feature's called that enables programmes to be recorded by programme details rather than time (relying on broadcaster information to start the recording) are also excellent.

It is however slightly let down by the user interface.

The EPG and the list of recorded programmes seem very pixelated and slow to respond and navigate through - though at least it's cached in stand-by mode, so always available quite quickly. The virtual keyboard is a chore (I guess maybe not an issue for people who text a lot - the keyboard is basically the 0-9 numbers like on a mobile). The sort of of the recorded programmes list in inconsistent. When wanting to select and act on multiple recorded files, after selecting the first one in the list, the interface then doesn't give you any details of the other files your are trying to select (which when combined with inconsistent sorting leaves you relying on remembering time/date information for selecting the files). They really could have and should have done so much better for what is essential a very good product.

All in all, it does what it says on the tin, and at a pretty good price. Just a shame they didn't spend a bit longer on the interface.

Update after 6 weeks use:
I've removed a star rating because I'm so frustrated with the series link. It's a really useful feature - when it works, but I'm finding lots of series that don't distinguish their episodes via the information available to the EPG. This PVR doesn't have any settings like "record all instances", it simply records one instance, then thinks it has recorded them all because it can't tell the difference between future verions. The result is it doesn't record any more of that series. In addition, there's no way to see what you've asked it to record, but that it has decided it's not going to bother with. I'm constantly having to reprogramme the box for the same series.

This could be such a good product with just a little more thought on usability.
