I found this to be an excellent product, particularly as I had no previous book-keeping or payroll knowledge. The Instant payroll is ideal for anyone who has no more than 10 employees and is simple and straightforward to use. This version is accepted by HMRC as a reputable software package and certainly makes life a lot easier than doing everything manually. I also bought the Sage payslips, which give a professional end product. I would definately recommend this product, as it is affordable and easy to use. It is compatable with Windows 7, which was not made clear on the Amazon website, or on the Sage website.

I bought this software because I run a bookkeeping businesses and wanted to check out the latest version of Sage Instant. Does the job perfectly and cheaper and better than most of it competitors I recommend this software to all of my client very easy to use and could save you a fortune with your Accountant - cheapest place to but is Amazon

I have to be honest and say I have not really persevered enough with this, but it frustrated me with all of the having to call Sage to register, etc.
I own a small company with 6 employees and have used Excel to do both payroll / salaries and also acounts. As we are expanding, I thought it would make sense to upgrade to a proper accounts and payroll system, so purchased this. However, the set up time is just too much for me at the moment, and I have gone back to Excel. Probably false economy of time in the longer term, but the product was not easy enough to switch from Excel to Sage, which is what I had hoped for.
Also you need to pay various subscription amounts to Sage, which I was not really that sure on.
However, I researched the market and there seems to be no obvious competitor to Sage.
