3.0 out of 5 stars Rather basic, 24 Dec 2009

Covers main functions OK, but it would have been far more useful if it included more on corrections, troubleshooting and so on. One of the problems with Sage is the limited transaction editing. For example, if you post cash on account, and then post the invoices with different VAT categories, you cannot match the cash. The only solution I have found is to delete the cash and re-enter it. There are many similar problems. And also the book does not cover the forecasting module, debugging links to email, error reports and so on.

Sage line 50 is a simple product in many respects, and suffers as a result. For example a multi-line purchase invoice is entered as multiple single invoices, so the supplier ledger does not look like it should.
