A great product to raise your child and allow them to sit at a standard table, but there are a few 'gotchas'.
The product fastens underneath the chair, so if you have a chair with a *very* deep bottom it may not be possible to fasten the straps around this. It worked fine on all our chairs, but a point to note.
You must install it on a chair with a back. We found chairs are naturally curved rather than flat, so installing this on a chair with an open back meant the product slowly made its way backwards with a danger of it eventually slipping off the chair altogether. This was despite the lower strap being done up as tightly as possible. My solution was to screw an extra bit of wood to the back of the chair to stop it (we wanted him to be sat on our cheap Ikea chairs rather than our posh dining chairs - food doesn't always stay on the plate!).
Finally it raises all the child body, this means their legs and knees too. Our table has a piece of wood around the edge, not a problem for adults on standard chairs, but it gave my son virtually zero leg clearance when pushed under the table. The options were to scrape his legs, or have him so far back from the table that he couldn't reach the plate. Again my solution was a little drastic and we cut a hole in the wood under the table for his legs to fit into. It may have been nice if the product tapered downwards at the front to give a little more leg room.
All that said these were the fault of our chairs and table - but certainly something for potential purchasers to consider. Overall the product itself is sturdy, easy to clean and does what it says it does very well.
