I purchased this desk intending to put it over the top of the treadmill base. There seems to be lots in the news recently about treadmill desks and standing desks – anything to stop people sitting down it seems. Apparently sitting all day is very bad for you so I bought this desk in an attempt to get some exercise while working.

I was really impressed with this desk. Having a treadmill beneath it, I obviously need something sturdy, and because the price was relatively low, I was worried that the construction and materials wouldn't be particularly good. I was wrong. The desk is perfectly sturdy and works brilliantly over the top of my treadmill (which I bought from Amazon – an office fitness treadmill base)

I didn't bother to fit the keyboard tray as I use a laptop and don't have a separate keyboard. It did take over an hour to put together because the instructions weren't very intuitive, but we managed in the end.

I have given this product five stars mainly because I'm so glad to have found an affordable standing workstation. Everything else on the market appears to be astronomically priced.

The desk is perfectly tall and sturdy, bearing in mind I'm a 6 ft man with 32 inch computer screen. Perhaps nothing to shout about for £200 but definitely no problems with the quality. The only problem I've had is that the default holes for the shelves don't leave enough room for a desktop to standard up on. If you blindly follow the instructions, as I did, you'll find yourself with the option of putting the tower on its side or dismantling the thing and starting again. The holes for the keyboard shelf are smaller than the screws, so be prepared to work to get them in.

I wanted a standing desk that's adjustable and not-too-expensive. This fits the bill to a T. The desk looks good, and is fairly easy to assemble. Remember to measure your tower before putting in the shelves, to make sure you have the right amount of space.
Adjusting the desk is a manual process, which may need two people if your computer screen is heavy. I only do that occasionally. Unless you have a laptop or a light screen, don't think it's feasible to adjust the desk up/down several times a day.

The workstation is delivered in a flat pack. At first glance the assembly instructions look a little complicated but in practice they are easy to follow and the workstation can be assembled quickly and easily. The unit is well built. The table height is infinitely adjustable and a relatively light monitor can be left in place while making the adjustment. However it's not really designed for use by two people of different heights as the adjustment is fiddly. Compared with other standing pc workstations I have looked at I believe this item is good value for money.
