We purchased the Premium model (red) recently after tasting the coffee side by side against a Nespresso machine. The Lavazza machine was far better and we are still very much impressed now we have it at home. It is easy to use and the coffee is superb, the only reason I have not given it 5 stars is the waste packaging compared to a machine using beans.

I bought the premium (red) model back in 2008 because of the colour. There is very little difference between two types apart from the automatic size of the espresso. I agree entirely with the previous reviewer. The coffee is superb and in my hands far better than manual espresso made with conventional espresso machines (I have experience with two Gaccia machines).
So far I had no problems. The system is simple to use and very easy to clean. Of course, the espresso is much more expensive (2x) compared to beans.

When you eventually get this machine to work, the coffee is great. Just be sure to buy lots of coffee, because it does not work every time.
