I bought these mainly for gaming, to upgrade from a laptop array microphone (which wasn't providing quite the quality I was looking for). What I got though were some of the best Headphones I have ever owned.

Microphone quality is greatly improved over my Laptop array mic, but it is otherwise fairly standard, being a +/- 54dB mic (fairly common in most gaming or conference headphones) but the quality is still amazing.

Buildwise the headphones are robust and after a week of use show no signs of wear. (I will update as time progresses)

Sound Quality:
Please note while the included software was lacking in quality, being fairly useless settings or just inconvenient to adjust and understand (the paper instructions included were also in Chinese - bit of an inconvenience), this does not subtract from my score simply because, being fairly computer literate I remembered using Razer Surround for my previous SkullCandy headphones, a great piece of headphone manipulation software by none other than Razer (also note that this software is free to use). Noting the lack lustre quality of the included software I promptly un-installed it, allowing windows to boot it's own drivers (using Windows 8.1 here but I expect AT LEAST back to windows vista will have suitable drivers preloaded) for the headphones and installed Surround. Experience improved no end, I can safely say I have not owned a more comfortable and quality sound producing set of headphones. Simply amazed. (One final pet peeve, the phones seem fairly bass heavy, I was expecting this from cheaper headphones however so I simply adjusted the EQ via Synapse to my own personal tastes and am more than satisfied.

*I will also be trying to use these with my Nexus 7 tablet via a USB OTG cable within the next week so I will update this then as to whether they work or not.

To be honest I wasn't expecting much out of these due to their very cheap price but the picture and price doesn't do these headphones justice. They are FANTASTIC. They are closed-ear headphones meaning they do a descent job of cancelling out ambient sound around you. However once you plug them in and wear them, you will hear noise around you, that's because Windows activates both the headphones and microphone in the headset (it's USB, not 3.5mm audio jack), so to cancel the ambient noise, just click the mute microphone button on the on-wire remote.

As for audio quality, it's not true 7.1 surround sound, it's emulated 7.1 surround sound, but don't let that turn you off these. The built in sub-woofer thumps out some truly demonic bass almost on par with a true 7.1 speaker surround sound cinema set up. I have been using these headphones for my YouTube channel, MaskedGEEK, for a few videos now and a couple of horror games, and dead Lord sound in horror games can really immerse you, so a good set of cans will really help.

One really good selling point though is, after the drivers are installed, when you plug them in, Windows will automatically route audio output to the headphones, and when you unplug them, audio goes back to your regular speakers. Don't let the cheapness of these headphones fool you. If you're looking for good headphones on a budget, these make a great addition to your audio arsenal. Just don't complain to Sades if you use these in horror games and end up having to send your pants to the dry-cleaners.

If you do end up buying these for recording your own videos for YouTube, it's best to plug these in first before you load your recording software. This isn't a fault with Sades, it's just they only show up in the Windows audio hardware list when plugged in, so your recording software will only see them if they are in the hardware list prior to loading the software.

i had the 901's before, but my son chewed the braided cable and ruined them, so i upgraded to the 902's to get 7.1 surround instead of 5.1 on the 901's. the 902's are deffo an upgrade. i am very happy with my choice, and i also think this headset is a prime example of lesser known brands still offering quality products. its not a high end headset, but its really good for listening to music, great bass and treble, and great volume. for gaming they are great too, with great response, lively bass and good treble. they're very comfy with pads under the headband and in the ear cups. they are heavy enough to let you know they have good magnets in, but not too heavy as to give you neck ache after a couple hours use. the mic is very good, so good in fact i was asked in-game what desktop mic i used. i was surprised to see a cool design feature from the 901's missing; the mic used to fold flush into the earcup on the 901's but not in the 902's, it sticks up like an aerial. the inline controls are fine, in fact they are exactly the same as the 901's, and there is still no change in the lights to say when your mic ic muted. oversight. only problem i have had is there are red lights on each earcup which see to have stopped working. the software is pretty good, although it took me half an hour or so to figure out roughly what all of it did. over all i think this is a great value headset, and would recommend this to anyone who doesn't want to shell out loads just to have good sound.

Bought them for general gaming/Skype... Couldn't ask for a better pear of headphones for only £20, absolute bargain, they are better than my old turtle beaches which cost me £60 when I bought them. They couldn't have been easier to set up too, plug the USB in, wait for driver to install (took like 20 seconds) and that's it!
