About the Artist
The New-York based trio Alice Texas is the brainchild of its lead singer-songwriter Alice Schneider. Sad Days is the band's first proper release after a self-produced record which led the New-York Village Voice to say imagine the offspring of P.J Harvey and Nick Cave, and you've got this angsty, moody, bluesy combo. A new diva for country noir with one foot in the country-blues roots and another one in a more indie territory until now claimed by PJ Harvey and Mazzy Star's Hope Sandoval.
