Admittedly, I've been a fan of Atmosphere since they where referred to me online when `The Lucy Ford LP' dropped sometime ago... and have pretty much supported everything they've released to this day.. despite having met Slug after his last show in London and not feeling much appreciation from him... but he's paid to make good music... not be a nice person. So, I purchased this EP already having heard the track that Slug pushed this project with (`Sunshine') and to be honest... not being impressed. The first listen (on my stereo) wasn't a pleasant one either.. Ant's production was too striking and repetitive and seemed to be swallowing Slugs voice whole... After just one listen this EP rested in my CD collection for about two months... The next time I picked it up was to put the EP on my MP3 player.. and once I listened to it through headphones.. Atmosphere's latest sound had found its haven... I especially enjoyed the last track `Don't Forget' ... a nostalgic reminiscent account of slugs early years and the sentiment of the music that carried him through them...

"Rap videos and girls digits
A fifteen pack of blank cassettes for Christmas
Used to steal mom's change if it's easy to
We used to make up names for our graffiti crew
Used to talk about makin it big
And if we ever got rich, the way we would live"

This 5 track EP is just Slug and Ant having fun... knowing the fans aren't expecting another `You can't Imagine How much fun we're having' , `Godlovesugly' or even another `Outernet' with this project. The lyrics to track four (`mattress') are amusing... but I feel is the weakest track on here production wise... if you enjoyed Sevens Travels you'll most likely enjoy this.

On a side note Atmosphere released a mixtape over the net called `Strictly Leakage' ... Its free (16 tracks) just search it and download it.
