About the Author

Sacrifice is quite simply Sarah's best novel yet. Although the other two, Century and Heretic, have a strong element of crossover to adult fiction, Sacrifice is not just a teen book but an excellent adult read that could happily sit on the bookshelves among any of the novels of Susanna Clarke. Linking history, mystery and moral dilemma, the story has three courageous young people coming together to face mortal danger in order to defeat the powers of evil. Beautifully written in the most evocative prose, this is a book worthy of the widest possible readership.

This is a haunting novel - complex, mysterious, disturbing. The deep connection between the three very different main characters provides the compelling heart of the novel. Fear, guilt, and power have knotted together over the centuries to create a very dark destiny which they come together to unravel. Highly recommended.
