In 1995 'Sacrifice' was motorheads last album with Michael "wurzel" Burston, as he unfortunatly left the band, and sadly died in 2011.
(WEAKNESS): this album is NOT motorheads worst album (they have never done a bad one you know) but it is one of their weakest offerings, with the rather questionable production, and uninspired songwriting from wurzel, infact he only wrote 2 songs on this album!
(STRENGTHS): for all this albums faults, its positives greatly outweigh its negatives, with the opening title track "sacrifice" which is motoreads most thrash metal song, (hear Mikkey Dee's drumming on this song and you'll know why he is the best drummer in the world) 'all gone to hell' is another geat track, 'sex and death' is a short but enjoyable song, other songs on here are pretty good too, such as 'over your shoulder' and 'dog face boy', 'out of the sun' is a very good song with a great chorus.
Finally Sacrifice is an album which isnt perfect but greatly shows that even when things are down for the band, they can still pull off some great songs. (also take a look at the album cover its the best album cover motorhead has ever had made.)
