This book has previously been sold as "SHAME"......new cover...new title.
Why this information is not available is beyond me.....if you did
not read the original book, then by all means buy it, because all
of her books make very good reading.

As others have pointed out, this is a retitled earlier novel. I cannot understand why the publisher has retitled it, but as it has, it should have made it obvious on the cover that this has been done. This publisher is not alone in this bad habit (eg a recent Camilla Lackberg), which is quite common when publishers change and reissue a backlist (as is currently being done for Liza Marklund). But it is extremely poor customer relations.
Shame/Sacrifice is very good by the way - not quite as compelling as her other novels Missing, Shadow and Betrayal, but a very good suspense novel nonetheless.

I don't usually get caught this way but I was careless this time - too keen to see a new Alvtegen after all this time. Could certain publishers explain why they reissue the back catalogue under new titles, if it's for any reason other than to con readers into buying the same book twice?
